Shortbread
Mise En Place
2 – bread pans with parchment paper
425-degree oven (turn down to 350 immediately after putting shortbread in oven)
What You Will Need:
2 c. GF Flour (or 1 ¾ c. flour and ¼ c. rice flour)
2/3 c. Superfine Sugar
¼ tsp. Salt
2 sticks Butter
What You Do

What You Will Need:
2 c. GF Flour (or 1 ¾ c. flour and ¼ c. rice flour)
2/3 c. Superfine Sugar
¼ tsp. Salt
2 sticks Butter
What You Do
- Mix flour, sugar and salt together
- Cut butter into ¼-inch cubes and mix with some flour mixture on parchment
- Put all butter in mixing bowl with flour mixture
- Mix on 3 or 4 for 2 – 3 minutes
- Pour ½ of the mixture in each bread pan
- Cover mixture with parchment paper and press down using a wine box
- Place in oven and turn oven down to 300 degrees
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Remove from oven. Score and poke.
- Cook for another 30 – 40 minutes or until golden
- Let cool in pan on rack for about an hour.
- Remove from pan and let cool on rack
